The guests on this show include Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Ken Tobin discussing the TRIAD network that will be able to send digital retinal images electronically from primary care physicians to ophthalmologists, and Dr. Neil Bressler of Johns Hopkins University explaining diabetic macular edema and a drug commonly known as Lucentis (ranibizumab).

Also, from the Heart of Dixie, we have the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Dr. Frank Amthor explaining a visual prosthesis that uses microelectrode arrays to stimulate retinal ganglion cells.
